I didn’t post yesterday about how day 6 went for me (of the mental diet challenge, of course). I’ve got a very good explanation for that!
You see, Monday I came down with a cold. And Tuesday, it worsened to a fever and aches. So I decided the best thing for me would be to put on a sweatshirt and pants, crawl under 3 blankets in bed, and go to sleep early.
Luckily, it worked. I didn’t stay in the warm clothes too long though, before I broke out sweating and got uncomfortable. After taking them off, though, I felt better. And I’m pleased to announce that this morning, I felt way better (though I still have the sinus stuff going on).
Anyways, on to the challenge update. I didn’t have any negative thoughts or emotions that lasted on day 6. However, I still remain very skeptical – perhaps I’m not being mindful enough, or I’m missing something. This just seems like it’s too easy. So today, I resolve to be extra mindful of my thoughts and emotions, and see what’s up.
