My 2015 Reading Report

2015 saw me start keeping track of the books I read, and sharing that with the world directly from my reading list as well as on Goodreads.

I managed to read a respectable 43 books in 2015 (my goal was 24). Some of them took me a while, some I breezed through in a day.

My goal for 2016 however will be a bit different, based on some insights I’ve gleaned from this year. Firstly, I want to continue my daily reading habit. Sure, I didn’t keep it in 2015 (my consistency for the year was 88%, overall not too shabby), but it’ll continue to remain a goal.

Secondly, I felt like I was maybe reading a bit too fast. It’s difficult to go back and remember anything from what I read early in the year, for example. Honestly, I’m not too sure how I want to address this yet. I can either a) read slower; or b) read at the same pace, but take summary notes and boil them down to “just tell me what to do” nuggets. I’m leaning more towards b, but the end result may end up being a hybrid of the two (after all, taking notes on something will directly affect the speed at which I’m finishing books). The challenge with reading slower is the sheer number of books to get through — I have over 500 at home, and continue buying more.

Anyways, here’s the list of books I read in 2015:
